Brighton Bus Schedule: 2026–2027
The 2026–2027 Brighton bus schedule has been created. Families should review the posted routes, stop locations, and pick-up and drop-off times. Students should arrive at their assigned stop at least five minutes before the scheduled pick-up time.
How Bus Stops Are Determined
Bus stops and routes are established by considering:
- Student safety while waiting for, entering, and exiting the bus
- Safe locations for the bus to stop and resume travel
- Traffic patterns, road conditions, visibility, and available space
- The number and general location of students using transportation
- Route efficiency and the amount of time students spend on the bus
- Reasonable walking distances to designated stops
- Individual transportation needs documented for eligible students
Bus stops are generally arranged as shared neighborhood stops rather than door-to-door service. Routes, stops, and times may be adjusted when enrollment, road conditions, safety concerns, or transportation needs change.
Bus Rider’s Rules
For everyone’s safety, students must follow these rules:
- No gum. Please wait until you are off the bus to chew gum.
- No food or drinks. Keep these items in your bag until you are off the bus. Please pick up any trash you see.
- Headphones must be used when listening to music or other audio.
- Phones may not be used to take pictures or videos on the bus. Please wait until you are off the bus to take selfies or other photos.
- Sit in your assigned seat or area when one has been assigned.
- Once seated, remain in your seat. Do not switch seats or stand up, including when the bus is stopped.
- Use a quiet speaking voice. Loud talking and yelling can distract the driver.
- Wrestling, play-fighting, pushing, and horseplay are unsafe and are not allowed. Remain seated and face forward.
Students must also follow the driver’s directions at all times. These expectations help create a safe and respectful ride for everyone.ed to providing it where possible.
