After School Schedule and Clubs

Daily Monday through Friday:

3:00 – 3:30:  Kids Café Snack and Daily Homework Help (may extend into 4:00 depending on child’s need)

4:30 – 5:00:  Kids Café Dinner and Daily Physical Activity

3:30 – 4:30:  Dedicated to tutoring and enrichment classes (see below for specific days)

Monday:  DreamTech Innovators

If you can dream it, you can do it!

STEM Day – All classes and age groups will have lessons and activities on a combination of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.  Some weeks will be focused on robotics and others on building and designing structures.

Tuesday:  Page Turning Day

Literacy Day – Enrichment activities to improve students reading and help them develop a love of reading through classes such as Puppet Theatre, Drama, or Book Clubs.   Students will get tutoring this day also on their specific needs outlined or suggested by their regular school day teachers.  There are special classes this day to peak the interest of your children such as Pokémon Club.

Wednesday:   Brighton Artists and Musician Guild

Art, Music and Dance Day – Students will work with clay, chalk, charcoal, and many other medias to create their own pieces of art.  We will have guest speakers and teachers from the Art Museum or Phoenix Center for the Arts at times.  We have dance instructors and music instructions.  Specific schedules will be provided as special days or sessions draw near.

Thursday:  Making Cents of Math

Math Day – A day dedicated to making math fun.  Classes will foster math fluency and the ability to calculate problems quickly through fun activities and hands-on learning either through cooking classes to understand fractions or game day for practicing their speed and much more.

Friday:  Join a Club Day

Our Youth Development Day, designed to encourage fair play, anti-bullying classes, learn about how to start and run a business, and activities that encourage leadership and community service.

Career and Technical Education

Carpentry is offered for high school Monday through Thursday from 3:00 – 4:00.

Carpentry is also offered for 5th – 8th grade students Wednesday and Friday from 4:00 – 5:00.

Credit Recovery (High School Only)

Offered daily in the computer lab from 3:00 – 5:00.
