Enroll for Summer School! Summer School runs June 1-18, Monday – Thursday from 8:00-12:00.

SUMMER SCHOOL FUN IS COMING!

Today, students helped us plan for summer school by completing surveys about:
🍕 Lunch menu favorites
🍦 Desserts & fresh fruit choices
🌊 Summer themes and activities

Students voted on exciting meal options like pizza, tacos, homemade mac & cheese, grilled hamburgers or hotdogs, Ramen Day, sloppy joes, and more! They also helped choose fun summer themes like UnderSea Adventure and STEM-based activities.

We are especially excited that Ms. Saffold will be working with high school students to help prepare and serve meals while gaining experience!

High school students participating in the program will also have the opportunity to earn credit for TWO courses (.5 credit each).

Possible course options include:
English
Algebra/Geometry
History
Weight Lifting
Food Safety & Preparation
Science

Course opportunities will be based on student interest and academic needs — giving students the chance to:
✔️ Get ahead
✔️ Get caught up
✔️ Gain valuable high school experience

Incoming 9th grade students (currently in 8th grade) who attend summer school will:
⭐ Earn elective high school credit
⭐ Get exposure to high school Algebra and English coursework
⭐ Have credits added to their Brighton transcript at the end of Semester 1 upon attending Brighton High School

Our goal is to make summer school engaging, welcoming, and FUN for all K–8 students while supporting learning, confidence, and future success.

Thank you for signing your child(ren) up and helping us build an exciting summer program!

June 1-18, Monday – Thursday, 8:00-12:00

Thanks to our partnership with AAA Safety Patrol and Ms. Saffold, breakfast and lunch will be provided for students.

Students voted and helped create the lunch menu so families can review whether the school lunch options will work for their child. Students with food allergies or dietary restrictions should bring a lunch from home, or families should communicate with staff if their child should not eat the school lunch.

Breakfast will include cereal and milk each day.
